My Awakened Life

Following The Bliss In My Awakened Life

Who Am I, Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow?

The entrance of 2011 made me think of pursuing one of my hearts desire…blogging. Whatever I do, wherever I am, I am always bombarded with a lot of ideas to blog but I could not get myself started. So, I started carrying notebook to scribble some thoughts, ideas and inspirations to write. Whenever I am on my PC, I always open my One Note and do the same thing. But of course, I want to focus on my spiritual journey, my ups and downs, my highs and lows, just focus on what I learned in the process. I am still a work in progress, I’m not there yet but I am getting there.

I remember in my high school where we had contest to write creatively about ourselves. The title of my piece was “Who Am I, Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow”. I did not write an article, instead, I created an album about my life, about my dreams and who I want to become. I cut out pictures from magazines, pasted them in an album, labeled the pictures as if they portrayed my life. Of course I won the first price after that.

But who really I am? Yesterday was a lot to write about me. As I focused on my spiritual journey, I will talk about the people in my life that helped me who I am today and tomorrow has yet to come.  I learned to focus on NOW and enjoy the moment, to let go of yesterday and learn from it. Yesterday was just memories of the past. Today, the moment is the most important time of our life, cherish it, feel it, experience it. Namaste.

Conversations With God-A Review

I would like to share with you a review that I did about a book Conversations With God.  This book has changed a lot of people but at the same time, some people critized it.  There is nothing wrong with it, in fact, this is exactly the reason why God created us in our uniqueness.  Please read this and pray that God will give you wisdom to understand it’s message:conversations-with-god

I have always been a very spiritual person, ever learning, ever growing, ever yearning for the Wisdom of God. Thanks to my bestfriend who is the most spiritual, humble, positive person that I have ever met in my life. She has influenced me a lot on how I look at life and how big I came to know God. She has become my spiritual guide and mentor. She introduced me to this book and asked me to get a copy so I did. She warned me though that this book is not for everyone to read. She said that for someone to appreciate this book, one has to have an open mind. She was right. If you read this book with an open mind, you will see a different perspective of Who God really is and How Huge He is. You will be introduced to the God bigger or wider than The God that religions continue to teach us. The religion was created for good purpose but some people disagree in some of its teachings and interpretations so they created different religions that suit and fit their own belief, thus, God’s people became divided. We became judgmental because of this division. As Eckart Tolle puts it, “All religions are equally false and equally true depending on how you use them. You can use them in the service of ego or in the service of truth. If you believe only that your religion is the Truth, then you are using it in the service of ego”. Jesus preached and spoke about God Who is everywhere, He cannot be compassed with walls or hedged about with bounds of any kind. People worship God but people see Him differently. How one can be denied to read a book that speaks about God of compassion and mercy and understanding, the God of peace and joy and light? This book spoke about the God of forgiveness and patience, strength and courage, a God that is a helper in times of need, a comforter in times of sorrow, a healer in times of injury, a teacher in times of confusion. This book talks about the God that has deepest wisdom, the highest truth, the greatest peace and the grandest love. This book talks about the God the Father that is all knowing, the parent of all understanding. It talks about the God the Son that is experiencing. The God that became human to experience the one that He created. It talks about the God the Holy Spirit which is the Being. And part of it that I love the most is, it talks about living according to our purpose, according to how and why He created us in His image and likeness. It teaches us to live under this guidance. He created us in His Highest Thought which contains joy, He created us with the Clearest Words, words that contain Truth, He created us with the Grandest Feeling which we call LOVE. And again, according to this book, having these guidelines determined which messages are His and which have come from another source. The only question remaining is whether His message will be heeded. And because the messages seem too good to be true or too difficult to follow, others will not be able to take it especially if it does not fit to their own faith and belief. That’s why one has to be open minded. She advised me too, to allow each soul to walk in it’s path, because God created us in our uniqueness. This way, you will not judge. In the end, my friend said that ones acceptance of this book depends upon how big one’s faith or how limited they came to know God. If they think that God is the God for the chosen few, they will never learn to accept it. BTW, my best friend that I am talking about here is my sister in law too, meaning, she’s my husband’s sister. God bless.Quote-right

Teach the Children about Christmas

I was pondering about what to write for my second article.  Ideas keep pouring into my head but I want to write something relevant to the time. I mean, relevant to the occassion. We all know it’s Christmas. We celebrate Christmas every year the same way. We are so busy buying gifts, decorating our houses, doing things that commercialized Christmas has brought us.  After the celebration, people only remember the gifts, the food they ate, the parties but very few remembers Him.

But have we searched internally the true meaning of Christmas?  Let me share with you a story that I came accross.  Please read on:

TEACH THE CHILDREN

Let us all teach the children the old meaning of Christmas. The meaning that nowadays, people have forgotten.

FIR TREE-the pure green color of the stately fir tree remains green all year round representing the everlasting hope of mankind., all the needles point heavenward making it a symbol of man’s thoughts turning towards heaven.

STAR- was the heavenly sign of promises long ago. God promised a Savior for the world and the star was the sign of fulfillment of His promise.

CANDLE-it symbolizes that Christ is the light of the world and when we see this great light we are reminded of Jesus who fills our lives with light.

WREATH-symbolizes the real nature of love.  Real love never ceases like God’s love which has no beginning or end.

SANTA CLAUS-symbolizes the generosity and kindness we feel during the month of December.

HOLLY LEAF-represents immortality. It’s thorn represents the crown of thorn worn by Jesus. The red holly represents the blood shed by Him.

GIFT-teach the children that God so loved the world that He gave His only Son Jesus. Let’s thank God for this everlasting gift. Teach the children the wise men bowed before the Holy Baby and gave Him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

SUGAR CANE-represents the shepherd’s crook. The crook on the staff helps to bring back lost sheep to the flock.

ANGEL-it was the angel who announced the glorious news of the Savior’s birth. The angels sang “Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace and goodwill to men”.

BELL-the lost sheep are found by the sound of bell.  It should ring to guide us to God. The bell symbolizes the guidance and return. It reminds us that we are all precious in the eyes of God.

REMEMBER, teach the children the true meaning of Christmas.  He asks: “DO NOT PUT ME AT THE CENTER FOR I AM BUT A HUMBLE SERVANT OF THE ONE THAT IS, and I BOW DOWN TO WORSHIP HIM, OUR LORD, OUR GOD!!!

 MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE.

My Whole New World!!!

Are you intrigued with my title and introduction?

I have always wanted to create a blog but finding a niche and a title seemed hard to find. I have to dig deeper into my being, make an inventory of my skills, educate myself and be on the lookout for something that suits me. I spend a lot of time in the library reading books, borrowing audios, making use of the resources available to me for free. I came accross an audio recorded by Dr. Wayne Dyer entitled “The Awakened Life”.  As I listened to it, I felt my inner voice telling me, “this is it…this is really it.” This recording exactly tells me where I am in my life right now and where I want to be.  I want to use it for my blog but unfortunately, the name was already taken so I have to be a little creative to make it my own.

Many thanks for the wisdom that Dr. Wayne Dyer has shared to mankind. I heard and watched him at Oprah Show quite a few times already but I never really had a chance to find out more about him.  He is an international renowned author and speaker on personal development.  One thing that attracts me the most about his teachings is his approach on positive thinking, trusting in that inner knowing about your purpose with the faith that the Spirit will provide.

I’d been a very spiritual person since I was young. I was so blessed to have met a lady that helped me to have an awakened life. She is God’s intrument for me to know the Lord more, love Him more, share more. She is the only person I know that has huge faith in God, bigger than the mustard seed. She has become my spiritual guide, my councilor, my bestfriend, my confidant, my prayer warrior, my all.  Later on I will be sharing with you how she has influenced me in my way of thinking, my way of life, my faith and that inner knowing that Dr. Dyer is talking about. Because of her, I have this hunger to know what is uknown and hunger to know my divine purpose.

Allow me to take you to the inner knowing of myself. Be my guest!
